Does this sound like you?
Another crazy busy week at my day job; surveyors, checking policies, reports, etc. etc. When I have these weeks (which seems to be often) the hours that I must put in are insanely long also.

But it is not only the time invested but the brain power that is invested, leaving me feeling rather like a wet noodle by Friday.  So what can I do? of course aside from giving up on my dream.

Prioritize.  I know that many of us are struggling through the same scenario, so this is just a friendly reminder to all of us (including myself) we are not superman or woman and we can't stretch time so we must focus on what is really essential to keeping our sales coming in with the least amount of effort.

I have been selling on line for years and I find that nothing seems to bring people to my shop like new listings.  This may not be the case for everyone, I think that when you have a well established shop new listings draw more attention than hardcore promotion (new shops may be different.) So today my focus will be less on my blog, FB page, etc. and more on getting new items in my shop.

The take away message is to make sure you don't allow yourself to get bogged down on everything you have to do, but focus your attention on the most effective and/or critical.

Have a very Blessed, Prosperous, and Productive weekend.

Members Of The Pacific Postcards Team - Series 82

Welcome to the Pacific Postcards Team Meet and Greet.  We have a great team that had start simply as an Etsy Team but has branched out into Artfire, G+FacebookTwitter and Pinterest.  We would love for you to join are team and help promote New Artistically designed or reproduced postcards, collecting vintage and antique postcards, creating digital art, and anything to do with ephemera and vintage imagery.

First I would like to introduce myself, Colleen (Captain) and Frances (Leader) of the team:
https://www.etsy.com/shop/postcardsintheattic

"First a brief little introduction: I grew up a Midwest farm girl from Wisconsin but through a series of moments of self discovery I have since moved to California and live the city life in the Palm Springs area.  I live in a lovely contemporary home where my husband and I have designed a small but very beautiful Japanese Garden.

Unfortunately, though, the contemporary look does not blend with my passion for vintage and antique Victorian froufrou.  So I have created for myself a virtual world with my shops.  I welcome you to my attic filled with all the treasures found and creations made especially for you..." ~Colleen Cornelius

https://www.etsy.com/shop/MyArtPlace
"I create mixed media, collage, folk art, religious icons, jewelry with a twist, paintings & digital art. Frida Kahlo has long been my muse and some of my art is inspired by her colorful life and paintings. I also enjoy dressing up in costume for any occasion but especially for Day of the Dead, Dia de los Muertos celebrations and of course as Frida.

Hunting for treasures at flea markets, thrift stores and antique shops is also a favorite past time and I often incorporate these objects into my art..." ~Frances Perea

"Etsy shop plattermatter2 is run by a husband and wife team originally from Oklahoma now living in Texas. We have been collecting vintage clothing, music and objects for years and owned two Mohawk Music record stores and are now letting some of collection go on Etsy --- check out our shops!

http://www.etsy.com/shop/plattermatter --- for vintage clothing and accessories

https://www.etsy.com/shop/MohawkMusic --- for vintage T-shirts, pinbacks music collectibles and vinyl / cds

http://www.etsy.com/shop/plattermatter2 ---- for vintage home, tiki, ephemera and sewing

Throughout the years we have shopped for vintage items when we travel and have found everything from fashion to art to music and a variety of oddities and pop culture.

We want to continue collecting and in order to do so, we decided to start selling some of the vintage objects we have loved for many years. We guarantee our items to be as described and are happy to work with clients to ensure their 100% satisfaction. (check our shop policies for details)." ~PlatterMatter2

"Over 1600 Vintage items, at reasonable prices! I hope that you'll check out my etsy shop. I shop estate sales all over the Chicagoland area to find useful, decorative, or collectible vintage treasures. I have grouped like items together in collections to make navigating thru my shop a little easier. I have lots vintage and baby boomer toys, Raggedy Ann, Holly Hobbie and Strawberry Shortcake. I carry tons of vintage linens, embroidery, crochet, handkerchiefs, table cloths, pillow cases decorative towels. I love love love old glassware, If I find pink or milk glass I can't pass it by, and I have a good selection of vintage Fenton. I have decided to keep vintage Hallmark ornaments in my shop year round, so check back if you're looking or collecting a certain series.

It's great to be a vintage seller on Etsy. I can now combine my love of estate sales with the fun of selling, and I have the best of both worlds. I spend 2-3 days a week at estate sales hoping to find those fun or fancy, cute, special, unique or collectible items for you. Sometimes family members join us on the estate sale "route" as we call it, and our grandson Jordan has come along now an then, since he was little. He got the "bug" to buy years ago. He's all grown up now, and he has found his treasures need to be thinned out to make room for what he has discovered he really loves. He recently opened his etsy shop Circa50s60s70s Please check him out here:

My Mom is on etsy too! She still enjoys the hunt, and goes above and beyond for her customers. Please give her a look too!

https://www.etsy.com/shop/Eibuys4U?ref=pr_shop_more

We are one big happy etsy family!

I really enjoy it when I can help someone find that special piece to add to their collection, or that special little something that makes you smile. And the stories I hear from my customers warm my heart everyday. Please continue to share the memories brought back to you from a vintage treasure you found here!

Please let me know if I can help you with your collection or wish list!"~Lynn

"As a graphic design graduate (2010 from O'More College of Design), and long-time lover and student of the fine arts, I am currently working as a freelance graphic designer and illustrator out of my home studio in middle Tennessee. I love stepping back from the computer and using watercolors, pencils, and pens to create something with my own two hands. Cordially Creative is a great way to use those illustrations and designs for something functional, as well as fun. I enjoy making items that others enjoy enough to make them their own.

My lovely husband, Elijah, helps with the technical aspects of running the shop, calculations, shipments, business, etc. Our long-haired, dappled dachshund, Oliver, also helps with moral support of tail wags and puppy love.

Thank you for taking time out of your busy day to browse through our shop. We'd love to have you back any time!" ~Jennifer

I read a very interesting article called "Best Time And Days To Post On Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn Or Google+" found at DazeInfo.com.  I am more of a graphs and chart girl so I summarized the post below but I do encourage those that are interested to read the entire post by following the link. (FYI B2C = Business selling to Customer and B2B is Business selling to Business, like a wholesaler.)

Collecting Memories: Yosemite National Park

One of my first explorations of California was a wonderful trip to Yosemite National Park.  Terry and I had just started our beautiful relationship and it was our second trip as a couple.  The memories are so special and so is this wonderful park.

When I heard the news that 2 men were climbing El Capitan it brought back memories of how dizzy I felt just looking out at the panoramic view.  I had seen the images of beautiful waterfalls and the amazing peaks through National Geographic and postcards, but nothing, nothing could compare to actually seeing it for myself.  As I gazed out to vast and ongoing mountain range my brain hardly could process that what I was seeing was real.  I almost felt like reaching out to touch the canvas that an amazing artist had painted with this scene but it was real.  For the first time in my life I was moved to tears just by what I was seeing.

"Thank you for checking out my shop ArtfulKitsch. After being away from Etsy for a while, I'm excited to be getting back to what I love most. My modest studio is in my home in central Maine, where I enjoy creating unique and unusual art and assemblage using repurposed items. I love searching for vintage and retro treasures and ephemera to use in making collage and mixed media pieces and my own brand of original paper products. My shop is a work in progress and I will be adding new items as I create them. I hope you enjoy browsing my shop and will stop by often." ~Cindy

"Bonjour!

Since I was a young fille and growing up in a creative family, I have been a visual artist. I gloried in painting, drawing and humanities at University. Previously I have really enjoyed working in an art gallery and art teaching in elementary and junior high schools-now I run this belle boutique, teach private art lessons, dabble in metalsmithing, and work in an art supply store.

My shop began when I found myself living in a foreign country and in what seemed like a different world: Québec, Canada, hence the français in my boutique. Not to mention "Nicole" is a French name! Now I'm pleased to be back in the good ol' USA.

I love the fine arts (especially painting), music, literature, history, great architecture, scrapbooking, going running, old friends, watching movies, French pastries, peonies & poppies, shopping (Etsy, of course), and COUTURE!

Merci beaucoup for stopping by!

➳➳➳From time to time, my artist husband may contribute to my boutique. I am also on Etsy under the username "negunn". ~Nicole
