My First Plant; On Flashback Thursday

My Uncle Jim gave me this little plant with a velvet heart for Valentine's Day.  It was my first plant (sadly it had a short life) but I wonder if that is what started my obsessions with plants?

There is nothing like house plants and starting plants inside to chase away those winter blues in the Midwest.  I have to confess that when I lived in Wisconsin I spent a fortune on plants and my house was filled to the brim!  In the winter months it looked like a mini jungle LOL.  But it really did help me through the dull-drums.  So here are some great Etsy Finds to get your jungle started :)
