On This Day 10/5 - Lots of MLB Baseball Firsts Plus

October 5th is a day to be marked for Baseball.  Not only was it today that the World Series was blasted into the homes of American's everywhere, there were several moments of baseball history made on this day.  Today is not just historic for baseball though; Little Orphan Annie debuts in the NYC Daily News in 1924, Harry Truman makes the first Presidential Address via television for the first time in 1947, and in 1961 Breakfast at Tiffany's was released.  Last but not least the famous Palace Hotel opens in San Francisco on Market Street.
