Attending Archangel Art Collective's Fifty Shades of Great

My inspiration this week has been my husband, Terry.  His first showing in a gallery since we have moved to the desert was on Thursday at Archangel Art Collective.  His quite confidence is very inspirational to me and it is something that I have yet to find in myself.  He is an amazing artist and is very confident in his work but has a beautiful humbleness, a true eligent balance.

While my work is focused on the sciences I absolutely love art.  This was my first opening and was the highlight of my week.   I hope you enjoy the pictures:

I love art openings. My mom's whole side of the family were working artists, great grandfather, grandfather and a number of my aunts. They mostly did stone sculpting, except my great grandfather who worked with metal. It looks like there were some beautiful pieces!

That is wonderful Ann! I was always surounded by people who did crafts and arts as a hobbie. We always admired pieces and went to museums but it wasn't until I met my husband that I have someone in my life who is a formally trained and working artist. It has been a wonderful experience and I have learned so much from him. I love how he knows who people are and what their work is in etc. Totally new world for me and I am enjoying it completely.
