First I would like to introduce myself, Colleen (Captain) and Frances (Leader) of the team:

"First a brief little introduction: I grew up a Midwest farm girl from Wisconsin but through a series of moments of self discovery I have since moved to California and live the city life in Palm Springs. I live in a beautiful contemporary home where my husband and I have designed a small but very beautiful Japanese Garden.
Unfortunately, though, the contemporary look does not blend with my passion for vintage and antique Victorian froufrou. So I have created for myself a virtual world with my shops. I welcome you to my attic filled with all the treasures found and creations made especially for you..." ~Colleen Cornelius

http://jackiebassett.blogspot.ca/Jim Jarmusch pretty much sums it up ""Nothing is original. Steal from anywhere that resonates with inspiration or fuels your imagination. Devour old films, new films, music, books, paintings, photographs, poems, dreams, random conversations, architecture, bridges, street signs, trees, clouds, bodies of water, light and shadows. Select only things to steal from that speak directly to your soul. If you do this, your work (and theft) will be authentic. Authenticity is invaluable; originality is non-existent. And don’t bother concealing your thievery - celebrate it if you feel like it. In any case, always remember what Jean-Luc Godard said: “It’s not where you take things from - it’s where you take them to." ~Jackie

Backwoods Treasure is a small Christ centered family business nestled in the backwoods of rural Michigan. We love antiques and collectibles and have had fun the past 18 years bringing our great finds at reasonable prices to a worldwide market!
Our reputation is more important to us than making a "quick buck". We strive for honesty and accuracy in our descriptions and business dealings. We also have a very good reputation locally as buyers, estate liquidators, and sellers. Our items are for sale also in West Michigan antique stores and during the summer months at local antique shows and flea markets. We've also had the pleasure of having our items purchased by museums. libraries, and celebrities here in the States and abroad.
We can be found on other internet venues under Backwoods Treasure. We have things exclusive to each market; however, sometimes one item is up in more than one market at a time. There is a small chance that an item may sell on a couple of sites before it is pulled. In this case, the sale will go to the first purchaser and the under buyer will receive a 10% discount good on one item for up to 2 months.
We thank you for stopping by. We hope you enjoy our treasures and find something here to enhance your own collection. We have done some trades on here with other sellers. We collect silver and gold items along with Nippon moriage, militaria, hand painted china, old postcards with ladies and horses featured, portrait plates and vases, old vanity boxes and perfumes, and a few other things :) - so we may just be able to work a trade out with you!
Happy hunting! May God richly bless you and yours, and America and her brave defenders!
"FOR GOD SO LOVED THE WORLD, THAT HE GAVE HIS ONE AND ONLY SON,THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM SHALL NOT PERISH, BUT HAVE ETERNAL LIFE." - JOHN 3:16" ~Jennifer
