Members Of The Pacific Postcards Team - Series 71

Welcome to the Pacific Postcards Team Meet and Greet.  We have a great team that had start simply as an Etsy Team but has branched out into Artfire, G+FacebookTwitter and Pinterest.  We would love for you to join are team and help promote New Artistically designed or reproduced postcards, collecting vintage and antique postcards, creating digital art, and anything to do with ephemera and vintage imagery.

First I would like to introduce myself, Colleen (Captain) and Frances (Leader) of the team:

"First a brief little introduction: I grew up a Midwest farm girl from Wisconsin but through a series of moments of self discovery I have since moved to California and live the city life in the Palm Springs area.  I live in a lovely contemporary home where my husband and I have designed a small but very beautiful Japanese Garden.

Unfortunately, though, the contemporary look does not blend with my passion for vintage and antique Victorian froufrou.  So I have created for myself a virtual world with my shops.  I welcome you to my attic filled with all the treasures found and creations made especially for you..." ~Colleen Cornelius

"I create mixed media, collage, folk art, religious icons, jewelry with a twist, paintings & digital art. Frida Kahlo has long been my muse and some of my art is inspired by her colorful life and paintings. I also enjoy dressing up in costume for any occasion but especially for Day of the Dead, Dia de los Muertos celebrations and of course as Frida.

Hunting for treasures at flea markets, thrift stores and antique shops is also a favorite past time and I often incorporate these objects into my art..." ~Frances Perea

"I love brilliant fall colors, fresh snow, the first green shoots coming up from the earth in spring. I get caught up in capturing the beauty of nature in all its tiny details!! I am drawn to trees and vines, the contrast of bare winter branches on a sunset sky, the fiddlehead ferns that unfurl in my backyard and golden fall leaves reflected in lakes, ponds, streams and puddles. Vermont is a beautiful place to be in all seasons. :) In addition to photography, I enjoy making prints, drawing in pencil and ink, and watercolor painting. Please feel free to send me a convo if you have a custom piece in mind. I would love to create a custom home portrait or pet portrait in ink just for you, or create and capture a special photograph! Thanks for visiting my page! Enjoy." ~ Jennifer Lenox

EphemeraObscura

"A long time lover of the strange and obscure, I've been collecting ephemera for over 15 years. I grew up in Chicagoland, but moved to Denver after falling in love with Colorado on my first visit. Ephemera Obscura started out as a way to share my collection and is now my full-time passion thanks to you other Obscurians out there. I love preserving these small bits of history!

My personal collection ( the ones I will NEVER give up) are like a concentrated version of Ephemera Obscura. Certain subjects are apt to go right into my collection and never make it into the shop. Disasters of any type, prisons and hospitals, Interior shots without people, Postmortem and Mourning, Historical Moments, Places or People, the ones that leave me wondering, the most strange, and images that just have that indescribable 'familiar' feeling are the hardest for me to let go. I am inspired by past history, culture, and above all the human spirit.

I make Jewelry, mostly from repurposed vintage pieces. I often make collage, and assemblage pieces. When I'm not on Etsy I enjoy participating in historical reenactments, Camping and Hiking, and paranormal Investigation. Sometimes all at the same time.

I greatly enjoy hearing shoppers' stories and comments so please feel free to write." ~Kari

"Since she was six, Julie Sandusky has created and sold her handmade creations to friends and family.

Through her travels with the international organization Up with People, she learned that anything is possible, and following your passion is the root to happiness and success. After her tenure with Up with People ended, she studied event planning, hoping to use her creativity to not only enhance her clients' and their guests' experiences, but also inspire her fellow artisans. She discovered how much small and unique details could impact the events, creating memorable stories for years to come; Julie's favorite part of her job.

Julie is constantly dreaming and executing new ideas, whether she is decorating her home or studio, creating the perfect pastry or embellishing a wrapped gift to give it a special, personal touch.
