Tuesday's Postcard Fun Fact:
Real Photograph Postcards are one-of-a-kind because they are not a replicated print of an image or photograph but they "are" the photograph. This makes the cards more rare and increases the value of the card over a mass produced printed card. Depending on the subject these cards can be considered quite valuable. Subjects depicting historic moments, train stations, depots, etc are more desirable; while more commonly photographed places (castles) or cities such as Chicago or New York are less valued.
Once again it was such a challenge to pick my featured image this morning. I thank everyone who participated. I thought this great digital image of an Antique Real Photograph Postcard was very fitting for todays fun fact. What an awesome digital from BearStreet

Thank you for yet another fun tidbit about vintage postcards! I love seeing the real photographic postcards because many times, the places shown are either now gone or are very much changed. I love that there is a record of how things used to be in times past.
