Members Of The Pacific Postcards Team - Series 90

Welcome to the Pacific Postcards Team Meet and Greet.  We have a great team that had start simply as an Etsy Team but has branched out into  G+FacebookTwitter and Pinterest.  We would love for you to join are team and help promote New Artistically designed or reproduced postcards, collecting vintage and antique postcards, creating digital art, and anything to do with ephemera and vintage imagery.

First I would like to introduce myself, Colleen (Captain) and Frances (Leader) of the team:

"First a brief little introduction: I grew up a Midwest farm girl from Wisconsin but through a series of moments of self discovery I have since moved to California and live the city life in the Palm Springs area.  I live in a lovely contemporary home where my husband and I have designed a small but very beautiful Japanese Garden.

Unfortunately, though, the contemporary look does not blend with my passion for vintage and antique Victorian froufrou.  So I have created for myself a virtual world with my shops.  I welcome you to my attic filled with all the treasures found and creations made especially for you..." ~Colleen Cornelius

"I create mixed media, collage, folk art, religious icons, jewelry with a twist, paintings & digital art. Frida Kahlo has long been my muse and some of my art is inspired by her colorful life and paintings. I also enjoy dressing up in costume for any occasion but especially for Day of the Dead, Dia de los Muertos celebrations and of course as Frida.

Hunting for treasures at flea markets, thrift stores and antique shops is also a favorite past time and I often incorporate these objects into my art..." ~Frances Perea

"Bridget is a knitter/crocheter, all around crafter, and has an eye for the unique.

Noah is an antique dealer, and makes the rounds looking for anything that stands out to him.

Together we usually find interesting craft items, antiques and "the strange".

In Wisconsin, families generally hold on to things. On the coasts they call it hoarding. In Wisconsin, they call it being thrifty. Whatever you want to call it, it makes for good finds all over the Dairy State.

"I blame my parents for my addiction to all things antique. I can't count the hours as a child that I spent with them browsing flea markets and antique malls. At some point I caught their fever...antiques are cool. Each treasure is an artifact from a simpler age when most things were crafted by hand. In particular I love old books, sewing patterns and knickknacks. I've opened my shop to share my finds and fund future shopping trips."~Heirloom Addict

I am a full time case manager, however as this brings income, it is not my true passion. My true passion has been a collector of antiques, with main focus of Art Deco, Art Nouveau and French, European antiques. I have been collecting antiques and vintage wares since a very early age. I come from a long line of collectors. My greatest inspiration is my grandmother, she had an eye to find the most beautiful pieces. As a child, I remember going to many flea markets and estate sales with her, all for good reason, as I understand now.

I am antiquarian, self taught through apprenticeships, reading and a million questions later. Today, I travel on the weekends searching high and low at flea markets and estate sales, for unique treasures and and beautiful pieces. In my spare time, I restore furnishings and find ways to bring new life and functionality to vintage pieces and parts.

If you have any questions, please fell free to email me. I strive to be the best seller, I describe each item as best as possible and what I may know about the item. I do not refund, time and shipping are too costly, I will consider a trade on another item from my store or a small partial refund if necessary. This is why inquiring about any items of interest is very important.

I do offer reserve and layaway's of my store items. However, 1/4 is requested prior to placing the layaway or reserved item. If the reserve or layaway is cancelled, only half of your down payment will be refunded, this is due to potential loss of other business that may have occurred during this period." ~Scott

"I love doing research and finding "New Old Stock' and warehouse finds. There is so much variety and fun in the research and "hunt" for unusual items. I may be able to help you with unusual needs for vintage paper including wrapping paper, postcards, catalogs (color fashion plates), old print advertising, vintage Christmas. I also have vintage birthday and wedding paper and other print examples from previous eras. I have great fabric from the 1930's- 1970's. Have many foreign coins and a supply of vintage sterling charms .I hope I have something you can use for your business or personal use."~ Dan
