"First a brief little introduction: I grew up a Midwest farm girl from Wisconsin but through a series of moments of self discovery I have since moved to California and live the city life in the Palm Springs area. I live in a lovely contemporary home where my husband and I have designed a small but very beautiful Japanese Garden.
Unfortunately, though, the contemporary look does not blend with my passion for vintage and antique Victorian froufrou. So I have created for myself a virtual world with my shops. I welcome you to my attic filled with all the treasures found and creations made especially for you..." ~Colleen Cornelius

Set of 5 Art Note Cards "Paper Tiger" Mixed Media Doodle Zentangle Animal Totem Shamanic |
"In the beginning, there were all the things I wrote: Letters Stories Poems Songs Novels Notes Reports Lists
and my belief in the power of words. Creators of emotion. Communicators of truth, deception, compassion, envy, humor, rage.
When I was dragged, cajoled and coerced into art, it was because the class was “visual journaling” – images with words.
And somehow, beautifully, images became my communicators. Creators of emotion. Powerful. Wordy. Intoxicating.
Through the art of imagery I fell into the rabbit hole of visual symbolism – glyphs, markings, doodles, tattoos - and the images and words became
One
Giant
Party
Of circles
Lines
And color." ~ Jen

Antique Lovers Postcard --- Hot-Rod Car Easily Controlled --- Sepia Photograph -- Vintage Paper Ephemera |
When people say out with the old, I take it right back in. There is something almost magical about the vintage pieces that have been used for decades by other, the history they have amassed. The original is so much better than the remake!
I am addicted to journals, notebooks, sketchbooks, books in general, you name it! One of my personal favorite authors is Agatha Christie. And science- you can't forget the wonders of science!
I am a total tea lover! I have to have at least a cup a day.
I am a full-time Zoo Science major at Delaware Valley University.
I am obsessed with Doctor Who, The Walking Dead, and Welcome to Night Vale." ~Cassandra

1959 Wonderful Copenhagen by Viggo Vagnby - Original Vintage Poster |
Aimed with a sense a quality, skepticism and a poster tube on my back I'm going for the big kill. The hunting grounds ranges from flea markets to auctions and from local network to secondhand shops.
After the abandonment of the prey I take good time to document the poster by capturing photos of the new treasure in details. When dealing with vintage items online it's very important that you know about the condition and state of each little tiny imperfection of the poster. I would actually argue that I document vintage items more detailed than many auction and vintage poster sites - both in pictures and text.
After describing the condition of the poster I write a short story of the poster. When purchasing a vintage poster you also acquire a little piece of history. This fraction of world history I try highlight - that could be the time period, the background of the artist, the motif, the symbols of the poster or just a fun fact.
Being a little bit of a history nerd I believe it is a great satisfaction to know the story about your vintage items and maybe pass in on to any visitor that might drops by or let your imagination run when looking upon the poster. For me its like listening to the lyrics of your favorite song.
Thanks for stopping by and please let me know if you have any questions or comments - your thoughts are very important to me :)" ~ OutofCopenhagen
