When I lived in Wisconsin Autumn was my favorite time of year. I would feel excited about the upcoming holidays and that once the harvest was through, there would be a little time to relax. Not only were those turning leaves telling me that autumn was here but it also signaled the start of holiday television specials!

Growing up before DVD's and even for a good portion of my life, VCR's I had to rely on TV specials. How I would wait for the announcements; "Coming Tuesday at 8... It's The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown."

For about 8 years we didn't even have a television but my grandfather, who lived next door, had an old black and white that I could only watch on these special occasions. While many kids would have hung out to grandpa's house just to watch television all the time there was a catch. We had 1 channel, worse yet it was primarily news, game shows, and soap operas! So I lived for my TV Specials.
