Celebrating the 155th Anniversary of The Pony Express

Like many people I have always been fascinated by the images of daring cowboys riding through the West caring our mail through weather, animal attacks, bandits and so much more.  What fanciful and daring adventures have been told about this amazing piece of American History.

Even in the 1800 the need for information was a sought after treasure.  A way to keep a new country united and give people the freedom to move across that vast landscape of the country and still keep ties with family and business.

Celebrating the 155th anniversary of the Pony Express, an amazing period of time when a couple of horses could get me my mail faster than an entire fleet of USPS trucks.  Just kidding of course I love the United States Postal System it makes my world go round :)

Continuing our flashback to the 1980's I am wandering back through my childhood and Christmas.  In the 80's I was an older child; I was ten when good ole President Carter was in office so I wasn't receiving many toys any more.  It was a time to grow up and enjoy watching my younger sister open up her gifts.  While I totally understood what that meant and that she was the baby (about 5 years old at that time) I secretly wanted what she got.  So here is my secret list to Santa... shhhhh don't tell anyone I would be so embarrassed! LOL
