National Postcard Week 2016

So just like any holiday National Postcard Week 2016 has come and gone.  I have the same feeling of holiday blues but at least I have so many pretty and unusual postcards to thumb through.  For the next couple weeks I will be sharing the cards I received this year.  I can honestly say that this year's cards were the best.  So many very talented and/or clever people and their creative designs.

Now I know if you collect postcards and didn't participate in this year's NPCW you may be jealous of all my treasures.  But don't waste a single ounce of energy on wishing, just start designing for next years swap we would love to have join in :) The more the merrier.

I belong to several postcard clubs so the following cards are a combination of different swaps including the one held right here at ButterflyInTheAttic.

First the unveiling of my card which can be purchased (with either the NPCW greeting on the back or without.  If you would like the version with NPCW include a note with your order.) http://www.bonanza.com/listings/Night-Life-in-Palm-Springs-Fine-Art-Postcard

Happy National Postcard Week 2016

It is finally here! National Postcard Week 2016.  Time to send out all those lovely postcards and flood the mailboxes around the nation.  I love the post card I created this year but I must send my cards out before I unveil my 2016 Postcard.  If you collect postcards or are looking to start one of your kids or grandchildren collecting postcards this is a wonderful way for them to begin.

If you missed the excitement this year, fear not, National Postcard Week is always celebrated the first full week of May.  365 days to created your amazing postcard for 2017's Postcard swap!

In celebration of National Postcard Week I am posting some wonderful images of post offices and postal workers from the 19th and 20th Century.  I love browsing through these beautiful vintage photographs.

I hope you have a blessed week and your mailbox is full of postcards.
