Wait A Minute Mister Postman Postcard Party 43

I thought this post I had found on Facebook this morning would be absolutely perfect for this morning's

Tuesday's Postcard Fun Fact

Did you know there were Street Car Post Offices?

According to Railway Post Office Clerks on FB in the 1890s there were post offices operating from street cars in larger cities such as Boston, New York, Chicago , Washington DC, and others.  As much as love my computers and technology I think that the "modern conveniences" back in the late 1800 - early 1900s were much more convenient than those we have today. If you want to read more about the history of post offices visit their FB Page it is one worth Liking.

Members Of The Pacific Postcards Team - Series 64

Welcome to the Pacific Postcards Team Meet and Greet.  We have a great team that had start simply as an Etsy Team but has branched out into Artfire, G+, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest.  We would love for you to join are team and help promote New Artistically designed or reproduced postcards, collecting vintage and antique postcards, creating digital art, and anything to do with ephemera and vintage imagery.

First I would like to introduce myself, Colleen (Captain) and Frances (Leader) of the team:
https://www.etsy.com/shop/postcardsintheattic

"First a brief little introduction: I grew up a Midwest farm girl from Wisconsin but through a series of moments of self discovery I have since moved to California and live the city life in Palm Springs.  I live in a beautiful contemporary home where my husband and I have designed a small but very beautiful Japanese Garden.

Unfortunately, though, the contemporary look does not blend with my passion for vintage and antique Victorian froufrou.  So I have created for myself a virtual world with my shops.  I welcome you to my attic filled with all the treasures found and creations made especially for you..." ~Colleen Cornelius

https://www.etsy.com/shop/MyArtPlace
"I create mixed media, collage, folk art, religious icons, jewelry with a twist, paintings & digital art. Frida Kahlo has long been my muse and some of my art is inspired by her colorful life and paintings. I also enjoy dressing up in costume for any occasion but especially for Day of the Dead, Dia de los Muertos celebrations and of course as Frida.

Hunting for treasures at flea markets, thrift stores and antique shops is also a favorite past time and I often incorporate these objects into my art..." ~Frances Perea

"
Hello, thanks for stopping by.
I love vintage things, and thinking about the people who may have used them in the past. I love going to auctions and estate sales to find interesting and unique vintage items. I truly enjoy having a shop on Etsy.
My children are in their 20s, and I have been married for 29 years. Other hobbies I love are walking outdoors, reading, and dinner and movies with my husband, my children, or my friends.
I hope you enjoy my shop! Thank you and God bless." ~ Lesa Estes

"
For over 25 years my family imported gift items from Germany. We were one of the first to introduce gold foil dresends and Victorian scrap-art to the craft industry. When we closed our doors many years ago, I put away a large stock of gold foils. Not knowing what to do with this treasure until I found Etsy.
I would like to once again make these wonderful “Memories of Gold” available to crafters and artists. I hope you will give me the opportunity to supply you with something special. The Ehlers Co., Inc. always stood for excellence and great customer service, I look forward to continuing that ideal through Etsy.
Wilkommen an unserern Deutschen Kunden...Wir sprechen Deutsch!" ~Pamela

Mohawk Music is a husband and wife team originally from Oklahoma now living in Texas. We formerly owned two record music cd stores in Tulsa and Dallas called Mohawk Music and have decided to continue with a music shop on Etsy.

http://www.etsy.com/shop/plattermatter --- for vintage clothing and accessories

https://www.etsy.com/shop/MohawkMusic --- for vintage T-shirts, pinbacks music collectibles and vinyl / cds

http://www.etsy.com/shop/plattermatter2 ---- for vintage home, tiki, ephemera and sewing

Throughout the years we have shopped for vintage items when we travel and have collected everything from fashion to art to music and a variety of oddities and pop culture.

We have continued collecting and in order to do so, we decided to start selling some of the vintage objects we have loved for many years. We have enjoyed everything that is for sale in our home that is smoke and pet free. We guarantee our items to be as described and are happy to work with clients to ensure their 100% satisfaction and a 5 star rating. (check our shop policies for details)." ~ Mohawk Music

"I have been intrigued by antiques since I was preschool age and am pursuing my life long passions in trying to find items that can be sent to new homes. I try to find unique pieces with character and try to vary my items to meet a number of styles. As a lover of nature, I would rather see items preserved and loved than have them sent to the landfills." ~Stephanie Wilkins

Free to Promote Your Shop, Social Sites, or Blog; on Networking Saturday 20

Follow up on last week's post:  I have decided to just go for it and build a shop on blogger.  I have a kind of lame name for it now Butterfly In The Attic - The Shop simply because I want to distinguish it from my blog but still keep it connected.  I haven't completely decided on the name but should decide relatively shortly.  I am always up for some suggestions from my networking friends so any comments would be appreciated.  I want it to be catchy (of course,) tie it to my blog and other shops, but distinguish it from the blog; just a small order ;)

Enough with my personal updates.  Have you heard?  Etsy will be rolling out a new Wholesale website in August, this month!!  I may be the last to hear news but this is truly new news to me.  So of course this leads my mind to wander.  Is there anything that I make that could be transitioned to wholesale?  Will it be worth it?  Is this my ticket to become independent? So many questions...

Would you be willing to sell your art or craft as a wholesaler?  I would love to hear your opinion and if you are interested in more information, here is the link to the article:

Here is to our Success!
Have a blessed day
Colleen
