While much of the country is still struggling with winter's ice grip it is still time to start thinking about your gardens. Many people have little starter plants already growing in their greenhouse or if their like me, they have rows of baby plants in each window. I always looked forward to the first weeks of April because you could safely start your plants indoors, even in the colder zone 4 climates. Most often the weather was consistently warm enough by mid to late May.
