"I have been collecting vintage for years! I just love it, having been brought up by parents who were antique collectors. My brother and I would groan on road trips when we would have to stop at yet another antique shop! Little did I know my own children would suffer the same fate. I love perusing the thrift stores, estate sales and auctions. I imagine the former owners of these vintage treasures and try and find out whether there are any clues to their lives by looking at vintage pieces. I believe vintage should be used and loved.
I am really enjoying the Etsy community and love the creativity that is here. In my own home, my favorite thing is to mix styles and periods to create an eclectic look. I try and have a little of everything in my shop, from Victorian through Art Deco era to Mid Century Modern and industrial chic. It makes life interesting. My background is in art, and I love dabbling in watercolor, acrylic, collage and mosaic work. I need to find more time to pursue my passion in this area.
