Free to Promote Your Shop, Social Sites, or Blog; on Networking Saturday 26

A while back I talked about Branding; Does your shop invite people in or does it say "Sorry We're Closed"  or "Under Construction" or is it simply non existent and your shop is just floating alone in Cyberspace?   I have brand for Postcards In The Attic; it is original, it incorporates my store name, and it identifies me.  I also have recognized  the need for a catchy phrase to go with it (may not be perfect or even a bit dorky) but it gets my point across and tells people what I have to offer them.

Unfortunately Butterfly In The Attic is a bit weak and I am still working on this.  The problem for me is that I really haven't identified exactly what I want to sell (on a permanent basis) in my shop.  Since I was ten years old I have studied herbology, homeopathy and naturalpathy.  I love this passionately but I haven't incorporated it into my shop as of yet.  The other problem is that I love vintage, digital, and ephemera; I love saving books, upcycling and on and on and on.  So at this point I am going to have to really start analyzing this shop and pull something better together.
Notice: no name, no catchy phrase and it looks like my blog picture so is it a blog or is it a shop?  Boring!
There is many people offering advise and while I know what needs to be done it helps to have a checklist to go through the steps (for what ever reason Postcards In The Attic was easy but not so much for BITA.  It is OK just means I have to work at it more)  So this is how I am going to tackle this project:

Hello Colleen,
I completely agree that branding is a very important aspect of having a small online business. In a sea of items that customers can choose from on sites such as Etsy, ArtFire and even one's own website, having a consistent look in your shop is a great way of drawing people in and keeping them looking!
