When I first had Ashley I was not told that there was anything different with her and I can remember having that bliss that only ignorance provides until she was about 3 years. She didn't look different than other children so it was easy for me to push aside some of the obvious symptoms and go about being a mom.

Oh how I miss those days of ignorant bliss and I miss my beautiful daughter. She is so strong and has endured so much, she amazes me. Even though times were very hard while she was growing up time went too fast. The quality family time we had is so important, because those are the memories I cling too when I have those sad moments thinking about those silly dreams I had before reality hit.
