Laughter Is The Best Medicine 3

Laughter is the best Medicine was a coined phrase years ago, but man do we need laughter more than ever now.  I am not sure if I am the only one that feels this way but I think that world has gone absolutely MAD!   I have always been of the belief (wrong or right makes no difference) that the world essentially stays at a consistent level of fluctuating peaks and valleys of CRAZY.  That most of the pseudo increases in violence is due to our increased exposure to information from media and all the available communications; But now I am not so sure.  

Sorry for this bit of heavy commentary above but it has been a very sad year for a lot of people and this last shooting at LAX was enough to make me go Hmmmm?!!  But if you don't laugh you cry and really all we can do is try to live the best lives we can, stay in faith, Pray and not despair.  This can be a hard thing to do when every time you turn on the TV the breaking news is death and storms.  So if you have faith and are someone who prays, please take a second to pray for our country and for mankind in general.....

..... Now no more heavy stuff, we have cast our cares on the Lord and through him we have peace.

160. I am very Thankful for the beautiful weather we are having here in the desert.  I has been an amazing 80 - 90 Degrees!  L-O-V-E IT.

Here's what I am saying thanks for this week

151. Thanks for the amazing weather in the desert.  I don't mind the triple digits but this last week the highs have been in the upper 80s and lows in the 60s and I am loving the break.   Even though I find anything below 80 very chilly now that I am become more acclimated to the desert, it is fun to have the change and it reminds me of the Midwest falls.  Yeah Fall!

Here's what I am saying thanks for this week

147. I am very thankful that my family and friends are safe.  Some live in Chicago where there was flooding and other issues, some live in Colorado which has had terrible flooding.   

148.  I am also thankful for having a few cute kitties pass by my window to keep me entertained.  With my husband's and my busy lifestyle we are not able to have pets but man do I miss having kitties!  I live vicariously with virtual kitties and simulated pets LOL :)

Here's what I am saying thanks for this week

143.  Once again I have to say that I am especially thankful this week for my husband.  Knowing that I have been feeling a bit stressed this week he has gone over and above for me.  When I get home he has dinner made for me, runs my errands for me without having to ask him, and today he is taking me to a new beach town for a relaxing weekend.  It is the little things that people do for each other that show they care.

This week I wanted to feature this gorgeous feline blog called Scratching Pad. This guy describes his blog in the following words:

Here's what I am saying thanks for this week

139.  I am especially grateful for having a 3 day weekend!  I was only able to take of Sunday last weekend so this weekend seems extra sweet.

140.  I am also grateful that I get to go back to Laguna Beach today.  It's one of my favorite beaches; it has lots of natural beauty, amazing shops and art galleries.  Fingerhut Gallery of Laguna Beach is home of a wonderful tribute to Dr. Seuss, if you can visit you must stop in.
