I have always loved squirrels.  Maybe it's because I can identify with them just like I can identify with cats.  My personality is a lot like a squirrels; cute and fluffy (seriously I'm fluffy,) naughty and into everything, hyper (hyperactive was one of my first words,) curious and back me into a corner and I turn into a little monster (LOL)

My fascination with squirrels could also be because I am always attracted to things that are a little on the dangerous side.  I so just want to pick them up and hug them but I am not stupid so I don't

For me Sundays have always been a day to reflect and rejuvenate.  As I reflect through my last week I am reminded of how grateful I am for the blessings God has given me. I am also grateful for the gift of humor and being able to see the funny things in situations.

Laughter Is The Best Medicine 3

Laughter is the best Medicine was a coined phrase years ago, but man do we need laughter more than ever now.  I am not sure if I am the only one that feels this way but I think that world has gone absolutely MAD!   I have always been of the belief (wrong or right makes no difference) that the world essentially stays at a consistent level of fluctuating peaks and valleys of CRAZY.  That most of the pseudo increases in violence is due to our increased exposure to information from media and all the available communications; But now I am not so sure.  

Sorry for this bit of heavy commentary above but it has been a very sad year for a lot of people and this last shooting at LAX was enough to make me go Hmmmm?!!  But if you don't laugh you cry and really all we can do is try to live the best lives we can, stay in faith, Pray and not despair.  This can be a hard thing to do when every time you turn on the TV the breaking news is death and storms.  So if you have faith and are someone who prays, please take a second to pray for our country and for mankind in general.....

..... Now no more heavy stuff, we have cast our cares on the Lord and through him we have peace.   
Proverbs 17:22  "A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones."

Voices Of The Past - Humor / Comic

I attribute my love of postcards most to the vintage street scenes; they have capture a brief moment in time that otherwise would have been lost in the memories of those that lived long before me. Looking at these wonderful street scenes is almost like gazing through a window into the past.  But over the last few years I have come to appreciate other types of postcards.  I have been branching out my collection to include several postcards that were designed to show off the sender's clever wit.

The messages on these wonderful postcards are often easy to figure out, even if I don't find it quite as humorous as someone from the early 1900s might, but that is not always the case.  Some of them completely fall flat and I can't figure out for the life of me why the statement would be on the card much less sent to someone.  Some seem so unfunny and not clever that I find myself returning to reread the statement hoping the light bulb in my head will turn on.  Most often it is the saucy humor found on the seaside postcards that go over my head but alas I am not a fan of that kind of comedy all around anyway.
