Jerald Pope
"Hi, I'm Jerald Pope, the writer and illustrator of most of these books. I'm old, grew up in Oklahoma, live outside of Asheville, NC, with a Good Wife and a Pretty Good Dog. I have a bachelors in painting, a masters in humanities, and teach adjunctly at Warren WIlson College. I took a short, 30 year detour, doing theater (which I still dabble in) before getting back to drawing, which I deeply love. Madeleine Claire is my daughter who loved dinosaurs. Unfortunately, I was never able to bring her a real dinosaur" ~Jerald Pope

Francisco Flores
"Broke Drawers consists of two artists from Chicago. Metal Hand paints on canvases to walls to skateboard decks and furniture. Jessica Flores is a charcoal artist that is not afraid to go dark in her drawings so much so that people even ask if she uses black charcoal paper to draw on. ...she does not.

Both artists share their love for movies, comics, sci fi and horror in their work.

Here we will be selling 11 x 17 prints as well as the original pieces. Our website shop section leads right back here to Etsy.." ~Francisco Flores

HANDMADE WITH LOVE - QUALITY FIRST!
KarMa
"We are KARen and MArlene - KarMa, sisters from Cincinnati who enjoy sewing. We feel very fortunate that we received our talents naturally - one of our Grandmothers was a dressmaker and the other sewed and quilted all her life.

KarMa is the home of handcrafted textile art quilts, handbags and accessories in unique silhouettes and gorgeous fabrics. Every item is one of a kind and is completely handmade from our original patterns. We use hand-dyed cottons, recycled and upcycled fabrics and items, and very fine decorator fabrics. For our purses and bags, we line, interface and reinforce all of our purses, totes and accessories for strength and durability. Our jewelry is lovingly made and the designs are our own. We use the best materials in all of our items in our pet-free and smoke-free homes...

If you see something in our shop that you like but you want it custom made, please let us know - we will be pleased to make one for you...

We are always adding new items...please add us to your favorites and check back often! Thank you for your interest in our KarMa Creations." ~Karen and Marlene

Unique Items for Unique People

Pearl
Carpenter
"Painting, Sewing, Screen Printing:
I have always been a creative person, but it wasn't until I was in college that I really started to take advantage of my creativity. For some strange reason when I was packing up for college I decided to include canvases, paints, and brushes that had been my mom's, despite the fact that I had never painted a real painting before. Though I'm sure my family thought I would never actually use this last minute packing addition, I started painting and was surprised at how talented I was (for never painting before I think I've done really well) and how much I loved to paint. I started painting regularly, keeping some but doing others for gifts or to sell.
Then I went out on a whim and bought a sewing machine and started sewing. I was constantly making purse for the girls in my dorm and was told several times to start selling them and was told all about this great site called "Etsy", and that's how PlaidPearls was born. While in college, I also took a screen printing class and fell in love with that as well. I really like to do anything that allows me to be creative and love that I can share my creativity with the world thanks to Etsy!

Vintage Items:
I also started selling a lot of vintage items, my mom has been an antique dealer for over 35 years and I grew up learning to appreciate vintage items. I sell a lot of vintage items for my mom for several reasons; she doesn't like to deal with a lot of paper items that are hard to display and sell, she fears putting dishes out in her shop as they often get broken, and I have always loved digging through old boxes to find the wonders within! If you are in Illinois, I would recommend stopping by her shop, she has amazing items and is constantly buying and selling new items, but for the rest of the country and the world she recently started a Facebook page. Feel free to look around her shop via her Facebook page, but also let me know if there is anything in the shop you would be interested in buying, or if you are looking for something you think she might have. I have been so lucky to have had a mother that not only raised me right, but has taught me the value of being creative and appreciating the past, something my generation seems to lose sight of sometimes.

Pacific Postcards Team
If you are interested on becoming a member of the Pacific Postcards Team please go to this link http://www.etsy.com/teams/9158/pacific-postcards-team?ref=pr_teams and click "Apply."

We have 2 different memberships: one is a general membership, for those who love postcards and collecting postcards and the other is designed for shops with at least 25% of their
items listed are postcards.
**********************************************************************************
We have expanded our Pacific Postcards Team past the confines of Etsy. You can now join in the fun even if you don't have an Etys account by joining the Pacific Postcards Team on G+ . Another great way to share our passion for postcards. I have not built a button for this yet so here is the link to our new community. If you know anyone that is in love with postcards and ephemera please pass this link onto them. Go to http://ow.ly/lcfLt

The only difference in the memberships is that the latter will be included in shop
interviews, BNRs and postcard related activities. We also plan on having activities for
the general memberships. Hope to see you there soon.

Please remember that we have our very own Postcard Forum for any questions about specific postcards, collecting, creating, basically anything and everything about postcards. Finally found a rare card for your collection? Use the forum to show off that new found treasure.
