 From Gloria's Shop Announcements:
"Have a passion for vintage and antique postcards? Or upcycled notebooks with fun & colorful paper? Also vintage books, obscure things a government pamphlet from 1947. Take a look, and maybe you'll find those coyote bones you've been looking for!
Obscure items not generally found for those with discriminating taste. I'm sorry I'm not able to offer refunds of any kind at this time. I will endeavor to make sure the listing is what you purchased. Ask me about any state or country, and I usually will have a postcard depicting the state or country you are looking for!"

 From Gloria's Profile Page:
"Avid collector of postcards and more! Raised by evil penguins and left to fend for myself at the age of three, I'm not bitter! Living the dream of creating art, inspiration, left-eye dominance. I encourage creative dissonance, whatever that is! And, I run from anyone who utters the words: peppering, clean, sacrifice."

From Joy's Profile:
"Hey!
My name is Joy Boardman. I am a massage therapist, collage maker, and a world traveler.

you can order one of my beautiful cards@: www.artisticdrama.etsy.com
and you can even be my friend with benefits on facebook and twitter- you'll be the first to know about sales and new cards!

Why pick my cards?
Well, because they are artsy and unique! You can feel good about helping an artisan.

Also, I print them on recycled card stock. Because saving the planet is a big deal for me and I try to recycle as often as I can so I want you to be able to participate in that. After all, collage is a kind of recycling in itself. Or, um, upcycling is that the new term?

And another thing: My cards are blank. That is so that you can have a lot of space to write what you want to write and you don't have to worry about there being anything cheesy written in the inside. Don't you hate that? Then you have to cross it out.... so mine are blank. Which makes them perfect for any occasion at all!

Why Cards?
I've chosen to make my collages into notecards because I think that it's very important to keep in touch with those close to us. My mom writes letters every day and her mailbox is always full. She says, 'You write letters, you get letters.'

I am a huge fan of personal mail. I mean really, what means more? A bunch of people wishing you happy birthday on Facebook or a handwritten, handpicked card in your mailbox? Personal mail rocks because it makes life fun and joyful.

Background & Method
I've been making collages since I was very little. I love scissors and I love collecting images. I have a huge, HUMONGOUS box of magazine images.

I reach in and grab a handful every day and spend about an hour going through them and seeing if any are inspired to go together that day. Then I whip out my trusty glue stick and stick 'em together.

I love that collages are all unique. The images could go together in about a billion different ways.

I love holistic living, beautiful things, and hand-written communication. I live in Staunton, Virginia in the lovely and gorgeous Shenandoah Valley.

**********************************************************************************
P.S.
Believe that you can make someone's day 1,000 times better.
Remember that everyone needs to know they aren't alone on this planet.

Please enjoy my artwork and send it off with love. Please send me feedback: the look on your friend's face , the excited phone call you got, or the card you received in return.

Thank you!"

From Nuts About Maui's Profile:
"Aloha! I am excited to share a little bit of Maui with you through my coconut postcards. As a young girl, I fell in love with the exotic stories of the most beautiful tropical paradise that I heard about from my grandmother from her visits to Hawaii. She told stories of the aloha she received when she visited the islands - being greeted by the beautiful women and presented with a flower lei as she got off the plane, going to luaus, and enjoying the relaxing pace of island life and the friendly people.

As an adult, I got to make my own journey to Hawaii for a vacation and fell in love with the concept of the coconut postcards that I first saw. Of course, I had to send some back home to all my family and friends. It was such a cool way to send a piece of Hawaiiana to everyone and the most unique gift they ever received.

Through lifes' twists and turns, I eventually got to live out my dream and move to Maui and make it my home. When a friend of mine made the tough decision to move her family back to the mainland, I was fortunate to be able to buy her coconut postcard business and make it my own. I have been creating coconut postcards now for 5 years and love the creative outlet it provides me and the fun stories I get to hear from people when they open their mailboxes to find a coconut inside.

I hope that I can work with you to give you a little of that feeling too with your own coconut postcard and piece of Hawaii!"
